Manager, Rural, Remote and Departmental CredentialingThe roleThe position is responsible for leading the strategic direction and planning activities related to credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) across Rural and Remote Health Services and the Department of Health (DoH) credentialing committees. This involves clarifying business requirements and making recommendations for policy and system redesign to improve credentialing and SoCP functions. The role also includes managing business improvement initiatives, ensuring effective governance and support systems, and identifying opportunities to refine practices and technologies to meet credentialing requirements.Additionally, the position requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals and facilitate effective communication. The role oversees executive government correspondence, reporting activities, and performance evaluations while managing a high-performing team. The position promotes staff development through education and training and ensures adherence to defined service quality standards, as well as health and safety policies. All responsibilities are carried out in alignment with Queensland Health's core values.The successful personTo succeed in this role you will have high-level knowledge and experience in providing sound advice on the interpretation and application of the Health Service Directive and credentialing and scope of clinical practice policies, as well as high-level technical expertise, support, delivery of training and administrative management of the Credentialing System.You should also have strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a proven capacity to work independently, prioritise tasks, and achieve outcomes.Furthermore, you will be skilled in leading and managing a team, including providing mentorship and overseeing day-to-day operations.
