We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Planning and Maintenance Superintendent to join our team at the Kalgoorlie Explosives Reserves Plant. Reporting to the plant Site Manager, you will be instrumental in managing the site Maintenance team, integrating major projects and the Turnaround program from an operational perspective, ensuring we achieve our safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Responsibilities: Act as the primary operations representative for plant operations. Uphold safety, health, and environmental protocols during all Maintenance project and turnaround activities. Ensure that Maintenance schedules and tasks are performed to set schedules, project designs meet operational requirements, and that turnaround scopes comply with facility standards. Facilitate effective communication and review sessions with operations stakeholders. Lead external stakeholder engagement in collaboration with the Site Plant Manager. Ensure operations teams are adequately trained to manage new and modified plants prior to commissioning. Conduct investigations into safety incidents and perform proactive audits of construction and commissioning activities. Develop system and isolation plans for safe permit-to-work processes, plant commissioning, and start-up. Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure smooth project handovers. A strong commitment to safety as a top priority. Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or a trade-based background. 5+ years of continuous manufacturing experience, preferably in a Major Hazard Facility or the petrochemical/chemical sector. Proficiency in relevant technical and business systems (e.g., SAP, SF, Concur, analytics tools). Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and influence teams.
