With a culture of empowering staff and branches, we are passionate about rural communities, the profitability of our clients, and the sustainability of agriculture at all levels.The RoleThe HR and WHS Advisor works collaboratively with the Head of HR, Safety and Sustainability and the wider team, being responsible for providing efficient and effective services with respect to the people advice, support, systems, and processes for the Delta Ag team. This role is aimed to support the growing needs of Delta Ag's expansion and will have a focus on business partnering in Central and Northern NSW. Travel to branches will be required from time to time.In this role, you will be responsible for:Provide strategic HR advice across the region as well as coaching and mentoring managers.Assist in managing and overseeing staff performance by completing talent appraisals, providing feedback, succession planning, and goal setting.Assist with the integration of people through acquisitions and mergers.Maintain knowledge of current and relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and practices.Partnering with managers to identify, advocate and enable projects that drive commercial culture and improve organisational effectiveness and business performance.Leading transformation efforts, identifying the need for change and directing the implementation of and adaptation to new or changing structures.Unlocking the potential capability of managers and the teams they work with, building a trusted and value-add relationship.Supporting the execution of the People Strategy through leading the delivery of people initiatives for branches.Assist in the management of Work Health and Safety requirements, injuries, incidents and return to work programs.Leading end-to-end recruitment of employees for the region.Assist in leading the design and delivery of learning and development initiatives.Representing Delta's brand and its people and cultural practices in the market.To be successful in this role, you'll need:Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related discipline is preferred but not essential.3-5 years HR experience.Ideally experience or passion for agriculture, farming, and rural communities.Experience in streamlining business processes and implementing change.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to execute and deliver initiatives to completion and have a proven track record of supporting stakeholders.Have a thorough understanding of contemporary HR issues.Ability to lead and operate in ambiguity, adapting quickly to changing priorities and known for strong ethics and judgement.Strong understanding of Work, Health and Safety practices.Experience with Workers Compensation and return to work coordination.Strong attention to detail with a natural concern for quality and standards.Strong drive to accomplish results, setting goals and executing deadlines.An energetic and positive spirit, taking pride in achievements, and straightforwardness in dealing with others in a direct and constructive manner.Strong influencing, strategic thinking and planning skills.To be successful in this position, you must have a 'can do' attitude and be committed and willing to work collaboratively across the organisation wherever necessary to align and achieve Delta Ag goals and values.Delta Ag will provide a competitive remuneration package, ongoing training and development and a long-term career path.
