Visit us here About Your Role The Child and Family Health Nurse will be involved in the provision of safe compassionate care to families caring for children 0-3 years of age within the Tresillian in Murrumbidgee Service. The Model of Care includes provision of individual family consultations, day stay services, an early intervention home visiting service, breastfeeding support, and facilitation of evidence based parenting programs. The child and family health nurse will use a strength-based and wellness focus, building on parental confidence and skills through the provision of evidence based screening and assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration and partnership with families and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve safe quality care outcomes and negotiate individual care pathways and discharge pathways that meet the goals of the child and family. The Child and Family Health Nurse will practice within the Tresillian in Murrumbidgee Model of Care, Practice Principles and the NSW Health Professional Practice Framework for Child and Family Health Nursing. The nurse will provide a strength-based and wellness focus, building on parental confidence and skills through the provision of information, education, resources, guidance and role modelling safe responsive care.
