Integrated Mental Health Inpatient Unit (Whyalla)
Whyalla Hospital is one of three SA regional hospitals that has an Integrated Mental Health Inpatient Unit (IMHIU). The IMHIU features six single bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a comfortably furnished dining and lounge area, making the environment as welcoming and home-like as possible. About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse in the Local Health Network Mental Health service, you'll deliver evidence-based, recovery-oriented care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. You'll provide individual and family therapy, group programs, health promotion, and community development, all while growing your skills through continuous professional development. This role offers the opportunity to progress from novice to proficient practitioner, with accountability for high standards of nursing care and delegation of tasks to others, making a meaningful impact on consumer well-being.
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will support the delivery of evidence-based, recovery-oriented services within the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network Mental Health service. Your role will involve providing integrated care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. Working under the guidance of an experienced clinician, you will contribute to mental health care while being accountable for your actions and ensuring high-quality care for consumers.

About You:
RN/M1
Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Be enrolled and/or willing to enrol in further postgraduate studies within Mental Health practice.
Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.

Experience, within the boundaries of education and skill preparation, in the provision of nursing care in the mental healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
