Position Description
POSITION TITLE: Aboriginal Learning Facilitator
POSITION PURPOSE: Collaboratively develop and deliver educational programs using QVMAG Exhibitions and Collections to support the Australian Curriculum Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures Cross Curriculum priority.
Accountabilities:
Develop and deliver educational programs related to Aboriginal histories and cultures.
Support community and educational projects and outreach efforts.
Enhance networking and sharing of knowledge between educators in Tasmanian Aboriginal education.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure culturally safe educational environments.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in and knowledge of working with Tasmanian Aboriginal community.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
Capacity to relate to young people and their families.
Ability to plan and organise work to ensure timely delivery of programs.
Current Working with Vulnerable People registration and Driver Licence.
Working Conditions:
Part Time (22.8 hours per week, 45.6 hours per fortnight).
Salary: $81,323 - $89,612* pro-rata.
*Total remuneration includes superannuation.
