As the Aircraft Performance Manager, you will be responsible forleading a team of 3 Operations Engineersto ensure the Aircraft Performance function is delivered to a high standard across the Jetstar network and in line with CASA regulations. In this role, you will provide subject matter expertise on aircraft performance. This will include providing technical support of all aspects of aircraftperformance to ensure compliance with manufacturers’ manuals, company operations manuals and relevant legislation for aircraft listed on the Jetstar Airways Air Operator’s Certificate.You will work closely with our Jetstar pilots to support their pre-flight calculations alongside other operational stakeholders across the business.
To be considered for this role, key skills will include:
1. A bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering
2. Previous experience leading or supervising a team of direct reports
3. Thorough understanding of aircraft performance and airlineoperations
4. The ability to analyse and solve complex problems under pressure
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to various audiences
6. Proven ability to meet goals and deadlines as well asan excellent attention to detail
7. A positive, proactive, results focused disposition and do not shy away from challenges being thrown your way
