We aim to enhance patient experience through improved service access, developing partnerships, meeting growth in demand, implementing innovative service models and ensuring workforce flexibility.Working in the Ultrasound Department at GV Health offers a diverse caseload and population, with our Sonographers working in hospital wards, Emergency Department and outpatients from the wider community.
Newly upgraded, our department consists of 6 separate ultrasound rooms, including one dedicated for interventional procedures and another for emergency patients.
The department operates from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 to 13:00 on weekends.In this role as a Grade 3 Sonographer, you will have the opportunity to work with the Sonographer tutor, increasing knowledge and skill level in musculoskeletal system and vascular structures.
At the Grade 3 level, competency in abdomen, obstetrics, gynaecological and small parts is expected.In this role as a Grade 4 Sonographer, you will complete ultrasound studies in all areas of ultrasound, work independently and perform examinations to a consistently high standard.
At this level, the Grade 4 is expected to participate in all shifts on a rotating roster which would include weekends and on call roster.We are looking for:At least or equivalent 5 years' experience as a full MRPBA registrantCurrent MRPBA registration, Victorian Radiation Use Licence and driver's licenceCompletion of an accredited ultrasound qualificationCurrent registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry to practice as a SonographerThis position is open to Grade 3 or Grade 4 - Flexibility to work across all shifts including on call and weekendsPosition Description: Grade 3: HERE Grade 4: HEREIf qualifications are a requirement for this position, please attach a copy in support of your application.
