Talent International is currently recruiting for an APS5 Legal Practice and Capability role to work for one of our Federal Government clients in Surry Hills or Parramatta.
Job Description:
The APS5 Legal Practice and Capability is a team membership position, accountable for organizing workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide policy advice within an area of specialization, based on policies and legislation.
* Undertake activities and tasks using business systems information where options are not always evident.
* Perform procedural, clerical, administrative, and operational tasks that support and contribute to the client's objectives.
* Communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.
Requirements:
* Understanding and working within the NDIS and ART legislative frameworks, ensuring adherence with statutory timeframes.
* Engaging with key stakeholders, including the Tribunal, internal and external lawyers, and case managers.
* Researching and assessing business system information, creating ART case summaries or work area documents, including draft responses for ART correspondence, complaints, and FOI requests.
* Managing and completing administrative tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
Desirable Criteria:
* A paralegal or similar background (law student/legal admin) is highly desirable.
