Newly created role within a high performing team Blue chip investment house Market facing role Platinum Pacific Partners is delighted to be partnering with such an incredible team which has to date made significant and ongoing donations to social impact partners and other not-for-profit organisations. This organisation is Australia’s first listed investment company to deliver both investment and social returns, creating a highly unique proposition and one that has thrived over the last decade. For the first time, we are looking to appoint a Chief Investment Officer who will report into the CEO and play a key role in driving the long term growth of these listed investment companies. This is a newly created position and of high profile given its engagement with the market, communicating with shareholders and supporting impactful initiatives in the community. We envisage the key responsibilities of this role to include; Act as a relationship manager developing and maintaining relationships with retail shareholders, brokers, financial planner groups, wealth managers and consultants; Communicating, monitoring and ensuring adherence to Investment Guidelines outlined in the set by the Investment Committee (IC); Document the formal yearly reviews with fund managers to discuss investment performance with the IC; Monitor the fund managers and macro events and announcements that may impact the portfolios and report to the IC, Assist the IC in sourcing international and domestic fund managers and thought leaders for inclusion; Investor relations responsibilities including maintaining strong relationships with brokers and planner networks to help facilitate strong interest in the Companies alongside together with the CEO, engaging and maintaining relationships with the fund managers. Candidates of interest will be those finance and investment professionals with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the investment sector either as a portfolio/wealth manager, senior investment analyst or an investment specialist. You will have strong relationship and communication skills to review and assess a wide range of information. You will be experienced at providing objective, informative and comprehensive reports to various committees as well as enjoy communicating with investors, shareholders and clients regarding financial markets. You will ideally bring significant experience from either portfolio management, investment decision making or as a client portfolio manager. Essential to the role is exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with comfort in presenting and reporting to shareholders, the investment community and boards. It is likely your experience could include working for a fund manager, investment firm or large wealth management business.
