The Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service Alfred Health's Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Rehabilitation Service provides rehabilitation services for people with moderate to severe acquired brain injuries including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, hypoxic brain injuries, and other causes of non-progressive brain injury. The service is comprised of a 42-bed inpatient rehabilitation service, a community rehabilitation service, and residential rehabilitation in a 4-bed transitional living service. The Role We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and skilled senior occupational therapists to provide high-quality assessment and management of patients within the ABI Inpatient Rehabilitation and ABI Community Rehabilitation Services. Along with the clinical responsibilities in this senior role, you will provide leadership and regular clinical supervision to staff and students. You will also contribute to quality improvement activities within the ABI Service. Our ABI Service provides you with access to regular clinical supervision, opportunities for continued professional development, and being part of a friendly and supportive team. Qualifications Required: Occupational Therapy Qualification Current full registration held with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) or equivalent. Member of OT Australia (or eligibility for membership) or equivalent. Current Victorian Driver’s License (unrestricted). Skills & Experience Minimum seven years’ clinical experience in Occupational Therapy or equivalent Extensive clinical experience in and knowledge of patient-centred, occupation-based practice Occupational Therapy for patients with acquired brain injury Specialist skills in assessment and management of patients with acquired brain injury. Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting. Ability to lead, supervise and provide professional development and support to staff and students.
