About the Role As the Head Chef, you will be an essential part of our residents' daily experience, providing meals that not only meet dietary requirements but elevate their quality of life. Your role will include: Preparing and Serving Meals : Craft a variety of meals that adhere to residents' dietary needs and internal quality guidelines. Stock Management : Conduct regular stock checks and manage orders to ensure consistent supply. Compliance and Safety : Uphold and document compliance with Food Safety legislation, including HACCP, ensuring all cleaning and safety protocols are met. Leadership : Guide your team in maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and WH&S practices. What We’re Looking For We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Head Chef who is committed to providing exceptional service. You should be proactive, well-organized, and passionate about contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. Essential Requirements: Demonstrated experience as a Head Chef, in an aged care environment. Proven ability to manage food costs effectively and adhere to budget constraints. Food Handling/Food Safety Certificate or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP principles and hands-on experience implementing and reviewing Food Safety Plans. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Keen awareness of WH&S regulations and practices.
