Working in conjunction with the Safety Lead, this is an opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation and play an integral part in its continuous growth and success. Join our vastly diverse Northwest division to provide guidance and support on the health and safety of both our current and upcoming remediation projects.
THE ROLE
* Create and implement HSEQ documentation
* Advise and educate site personnel of legislative requirements and changes to comply with company procedures
* Administer incident and hazard reporting processes and actions
* Conduct site inspections and audits, pre-starts and Toolbox meetings
* Coordinate training programs including the maintenance of competency standards
* Analyse HSEQ performance, reporting and system updates
* Maintain the company Integrated Management System to the 45001, 9001, 14001 and OFSC accreditation levels
* Work alongside industry leaders including; FMG, Rio Tinto, BHP, PPA etc.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal person will have previous experience in a HSE advisor role, specifically within another construction company and now looking to step into a larger main contractor.
* Enthusiastic advocate for safety with the ability to influence others
* Experience in the interpretation and application of relevant WHS acts, regulations, Australian standards, and codes of practice
* Confident communicator and recognise the essential role of every employee, subcontractor, and site leader in delivering safe work outcomes
* Proficient with Microsoft Office
* Good time management and multitasking skills
* Qualification in Health & Safety, or equivalent
* Current Driver’s License
