Position Snapshot
As a Civil Renewables Design Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, & BESS installations. You'll use your expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce detailed site designs, ensuring that our projects are efficient, sustainable, and environmentally responsible.
Requirements
6. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
7. 1-3 years of experience in engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector
8. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Ability to work remotely or hybrid if you are in a location where Atwell has an existing office.
Day to Day
11. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop site layouts and infrastructure designs for renewable energy projects
12. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments efficiently, ensuring they align with established standards. Experience with hydraulics & hydrology modeling using HEC-RES & Hydraflow is a nice to have.
13. Gather data for design purposes from survey team and other departments within Atwell.
14. Offer valuable construction-related services, such as permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals. Organize site plans, constructionplans, and construction documents under the guidance of Senior staff.
15. Prepare a variety of reports, opinions, and recommendations crucial for project direction. This may include hydrology/hydraulic studies, due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer's opinion of probable costs, project schedules, utility computations, etc.
