Job Description - Service Technician - Electrical (260470) Location: Nebo, Regional QLD Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Roster: 7/7 rotating roster (Days, Afternoons, Nights - 11.5-hour shifts) Rate of Pay: In accordance with our EA About the Role Join UGL at our Locomotive Maintenance Facility in Nebo, where we are looking for experienced Service Technicians to perform complex Electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting on locomotives and rolling stock.This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking a permanent role in a dynamic and technically challenging environment.Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled maintenance on locomotives and rolling stock.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, ensuring safety and efficiency.Verify the integrity of the rolling stock and perform emergency response duties when needed.Conduct inbound and outbound testing procedures.Requisition materials and components for maintenance activities.Report future maintenance work and potential improvements.Assist the Fleet Supervisor with any additional tasks as required. About You: Mechanical Trade qualified, with hands-on experience in a related field.Proven ability to resolve complex mechanical, warranty, and maintenance issues.Previous experience working with diesel engines, particularly in a rail or heavy machinery environment.Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) lists.Capable of working independently, managing time effectively, and prioritizing multiple tasks.Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, and email.
