Seeking a passionate and professional Head Chef to create and grow with us.Based in rural QLD but just over an hour from the Capricorn coast, this position oversees three small but iconic hotel motel kitchens. Our menu teeters between classic pub favourites and the extraordinary; you choose. With the buzz that is alacarte, this is a hands-on role and the perfect choice for a strong leader looking to share and grow their knowledge to create their own unique and talented team. From making our kitchens buzz to opening a new venue and creating customer memories with fabulous functions, this role has the variety that keeps us all on the cusp of excited.Key Responsibilities:Create and manage a diverse menu that includes both classic and innovative dishes.Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained.Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management and staff scheduling.Engage with customers to enhance their dining experience.Minimum Requirements:Minimum 4 years Australian Alacarte experience as a Qualified Chef.An eye for detail and a passion for flavour and presentation.Reliable, punctual, and level-headed under pressure.Ability to communicate and collaborate within a team environment of Chefs, kitchenhands, and front of house staff.Strong working knowledge of food safety policies and procedures.
