Permanent full-time opportunity Wonthaggi | Flexible working arrangements available $104,674 per annum plus superannuation About The Role: Bass Coast Shire Council is looking for an experienced and driven Growth Area Planner to help lead the delivery of strategic planning initiatives across the region – including the Wonthaggi North East Precinct Structure Plan and Development Contributions Plan. Key responsibility areas include: Leading the assessment and processing of statutory planning matters related to growth areas Providing expert planning advice to internal teams, developers, and the public Coordinating developer contributions and subdivision-related applications Representing Council at VCAT and contributing to key policy submissions Supporting compliance investigations in collaboration with the Planning Enforcement team Assisting the Coordinator Growth Areas in allocating and reviewing applications About You: You will be a qualified planning professional with a tertiary qualification in Planning or a related field, and at least five years of relevant experience. You’ll have a strong understanding of the Victorian Planning System, including the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and the Subdivision Act 1988. Your background will include demonstrated experience in growth area planning, supported by excellent communication, time management, and relationship-building skills.
