About the role We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Senior Production Engineer to join our Technical Services team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong skill set in mining engineering who are ready to contribute to enhancing our drill & blast processes. You will support the integrated planning processes for mining operations, ensuring that production and development targets can be met. The position sits within a team who are focused on working together, to deliver improvement and reports to the Technical Services Superintendent. This position is being offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster. Core responsibilities Optimisation of ore extraction through effective technical and financial planning within statutory, environmental and budgets constraints. Superior safety and focussed leadership in safe work practices. Complete design works as inputs into Stope Notes and Panel Notes, influencing both optimised and safe stoping outcomes and strategies. Produce and guide the weekly operational plan. Assist operations in achieving short to mid-term plans whilst maintaining long term planning objectives Guide, mentor and support production engineers who will be direct reports. Responsible for overseeing and approval of drill and blast plans required to achieve weekly targets and prepare plans when required. Provide input into mid and longer term schedules and design. About you You will have a tertiary education in Mine Engineering or equivalent, previous experience working at an underground hard rock mine, and have completed your underground time. A proficiency in Deswik and the Microsoft suite would be desirable. Safety is a priority for you and you actively contribute to making your workplace safe. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, which allows you to build relationships across departments and to communicate at all levels.
