Firelec is currently seeking a professional Storeperson to assist our growing warehouse team. About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities include maintaining high standards in the warehouse, supporting Technicians with general enquiries, facilitating set up of inventory and part numbering, stock and inventory management, monitoring and being responsible for inventory levels, identifying and sourcing material and parts requirements, assisting with stock control and management practices, maintaining safe practices for the storage of stock, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, accuracy when checking deliveries, picking of orders, driving a forklift within a warehouse environment, adhering to WH&S policies and practices at all times, receiving supplier deliveries, distributing stock to our service technicians, and maintaining a clean, efficient and safe workplace.
About you:
To be successful, you must meet physical and medical requirements as part of the pre-employment medical screening process, have the ability to safely lift and move up to 20 kilograms, hold a QLD Manual Drivers Licence, possess a (HRWL) for a Forklift, and demonstrate a Certificate III in Logistics or Warehousing, although this is not essential. You should also be able to work unsupervised, be a hands-on team player, pride yourself on attention to detail and accuracy, proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks, be flexible and resourceful, have a high level of communication and computer skills, and provide the highest level of customer service to our Clients.
