Our ideal candidate would be able to manage kitchen teams under them.Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:Organizing and setting up stations, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are readily available.Creating and reviewing the menu and daily specials, making sure you understand the recipes and presentation standards.Preparing and cooking a variety of ala carte dishes according to established recipes and guest preferences.Paying close attention to presentation, garnishing dishes with precision and creativity to enhance visual appeal.Leading the collaboration with the kitchen team and fostering a positive and productive work environment.Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed, providing guidance and training to maintain a high level of performance.What We need from you:Commercial cookery certification and ideally you will have worked with a food safety system such as HACCP.2 years’ experience in a full-time culinary role, preferably in a hotel or luxury restaurant environment and specializing in breakfast cuisine.Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn new things and above all, a can-do attitude.Proficiency in preparing a wide range of breakfast dishes with precision and creativity.Willingness to support and mentor junior staff as necessary.Eligibility to live and work in Australia.What you can expect from us:We give our people everything they need to succeed.
