We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to bring creativity and expertise to our kitchen team, creating memorable dining experiences through exceptional food crafted from the freshest ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Menu Development and Cost Management: Craft and innovate menus while managing food and labour costs effectively, overseeing the sourcing of quality ingredients to ensure a captivating dining experience.
* Quality Control: Uphold the highest standards of dish preparation from inception to presentation, ensuring each plate leaves the kitchen meeting our exacting standards.
* Collaboration and Training: Work closely with management and staff, including kitchen and service teams, to discuss culinary processes and improvements, providing guidance and training to kitchen staff, enhancing their skills and fostering a collaborative environment.
* Culinary Expertise: Demonstrate advanced cooking techniques and provide insights on culinary procedures to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish.
* Hygiene and Safety Leadership: Champion and enforce strict hygiene and safety regulations within the kitchen to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
* Team Development: Participate in the selection and training of new kitchen staff, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the demands of a high-paced culinary environment.
* Food Preservation: Implement procedures for the proper freezing and preservation of ingredients to maximize freshness and quality.

Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
* Education: Hold an AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field.
Offer:
* Full-time Role: Full-time role, 38 hours per week.
* Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum.
