An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Driver Trainer to join our team, based in Geelong Victoria.
This is a permanent full-time position with a key focus on mentoring and training new and existing employees. As a Driver Trainer you will be responsible for driver training, competency assessments, ensuring that all employees are compliant with our practices and procedures, while promoting a safety-first culture.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Completing thorough customer site and loading inductions and assisting with required training on customer sites.
* Conducting pre-employment in-cab assessments and online induction of potential new drivers and assisting with on boarding process.
* Assisting with customer site inspections.
* Monitoring and coordinating SLP compliance on fleet.
* Coordinating prime mover and trailer inductions and maintaining validity for customer sites.
* Reviewing fleet service schedules to maintain local compliance.
* Providing in-cab driver tablet training.
* Identifying training requirements of employees.
* Completing in-cabin assessments for drivers, contractors and workshop staff.
* Conducting random and post incident Drug & Alcohol testing.
* Delivery of other training programs as required.
* Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation for each training.

You will have a “can-do” attitude towards driver safety and risk reduction approach while providing a safe and efficient service to our customers
To be successful in this dynamic role you will have:
* Demonstrated experience in the handling of workplace-based training programs in a similar role.
* Cert IV or Diploma in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110).
* Strong customer focus and the ability to build cross functional relationships and collaborate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to self-manage workloads and prioritise tasks in line with business requirements.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* The ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
* A high level of computer literacy and attention to detail.
* Continuous improvement mind-set delivering on measurable outcomes.
* A sound understanding of COR, NHVAS, BFM and Mass Management compliance accreditation systems and regulatory requirements.
* The ability to do some short-term travel and flexible hours, if required.
* Current MC Licence and DG Licence preferred.
* D&A Testing accreditation an advantage.
