About the role At Box Hill Hospital we offer Antenatal care and postnatal debriefs to families experiencing medically high-risk pregnancies.
The FDS Ward Clerk play a valuable role in assisting our Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) medical and midwifery team, Fetal Diagnostic Service (FDS) and COGU team in booking appointments, customer service with patients and other administrative responsibilities.
Working days for this role are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (open for negotiation).
The FDS clerk reports directly to the Midwifery Manager of Ambulatory Services.
Supernumerary time and support will be given to the successful candidate to feel confident in the role.
About you To be successful in this role you will possess: Previous experience working as a clerk or medical reception Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience A strong commitment to high quality care The ability to work as part of a diverse team Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong computer literacy skills Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
