Rombola Family Farms encompasses over 4,000 hectares of intensive irrigated horticultural production at Griffith (NSW), Bundaberg (QLD) and Mataranka (NT). Agricultural enterprises include Seedless Watermelon, Rockmelons, Broccoli, Pumpkin, Almonds and Winegrapes. Operations include primary production, processing, value adding and marketing. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Financial Controller to join our team in Griffith, NSW. The Financial Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer. Key accountabilities include: Providing leadership and mentoring to the finance team, overseeing the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and administrative functions. Providing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Preparing year end statutory accounts and liaising with external and internal auditing. Overseeing Rombola Family Farms' accounting and financial policies and procedures. Ensuring Rombola Family Farms' compliance with accounting standards and recommending modification of internal policies and procedures where necessary. Maintaining all relevant systems and processes as well as advising improvements to increase efficiency where possible. Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business. Preparing income tax, BAS and FBT returns. Any other duties in line with the position as directed by the CFO. To be successful in the role you will possess the following: Degree qualified with a professional CPA membership or equivalent. Well-developed leadership skills. Sound working knowledge of accounting principles. Desire and ability to build strong networks internally and externally. 5-10 years commercial experience in a hands-on management role. Working knowledge of farm activities, distribution, and sales processes will be an advantage. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft programs including, but not limited to Excel and Power BI. Excellent attention to detail. Advanced reconciliation and problem-solving skills. Strong time management, organisational and planning skills.
