The Opportunity Due to expansion and growth, we now have aCasual opportunity availablefor an experienced BUS DRIVER to join our amazing Operations Team, starting in Term 4!
We are recruiting for a Bus Driver who is available for the morning and afternoon bus runs (split shift allowance provided), Monday to Friday during the school term. Additional casual hours will also be available to assist with student activities throughout the day - giving your take-home pay that little extra boost!
About You
To meet requirements for this role, you must have a current QLD Driver's License (MR Class minimum), Driver Authorisation and knowledge of Queensland Transport Operator Accreditation as it pertains to school transportation. All candidates must have a current, positive notice Working with Children Check Blue Card.
As part of our Team, you will have an excellent work ethic with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and a desire to positively contribute as a Team Member.
The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues while working in a Christian School environment is paramount..
Key Duties:
* Transport students to and from the College on allocated bus routes.
* Transport students to and from sporting events and school activities
* Operate the school bus in a safe, efficient manner according to all legislation
* Ability to follow policies and procedures, obeying all laws, regulations and codes of conduct while observing the road rules and speed limits.
* Maintain order and discipline on the buses, reporting all breaches of the student Code of Conduct.
* Report mechanical failures and faults
* Carry out pre-starts
* Complete the Daily Inspection Record
* Keep the buses cleaned and washed
* Secure and lock away all buses at the end of your shift
* Ensure possession of the bus mobile phone is charged ready for work
* You must convey to the public a positive image of the College.
* Maintain an understanding of the Workplace Health and Safety Standards of the College.
* Participate in team training
* Have no contact with the students via social media
* Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to the College, its employees, students, parents and others at all times.
* Carry out other duties from time to time as required.
