The Team:
Multidisciplinary team based out of Ulverstone Northwest Tasmania. Consisting of Allied Health, Nursing, Medical and Administration staff. Providing services to the local hospitals, GPs NGO's and other Tasmanian Health Services. We are part of a statewide Mental Health service that provides AOD support and treatment to both Community and Pharmacotherapy clients. Working closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare using evidence-based practice to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, families, friends, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
* Delivers a high-quality alcohol and other drug treatment service in accordance with relevant Government Legislation and Regulations, Primary Health Care Principles, Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) policies, procedures and protocols and relevant professional competencies.
* Provides comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment and case management services to clients (and their families/carers) of ADS utilising evidence-based best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
* Provides a comprehensive assessment and treatment service for people and their families/carers with multiple and complex needs, including co-morbid alcohol and other drug and mental health issues, in accordance with discipline specific skills and abilities.
* Acts as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with alcohol and other drug needs and promotes community awareness in relation to alcohol and other drugs.
You will need:
* Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practice used in the treatment and prevention of alcohol and other drug dependence, including alcohol and other drug assessment, the harm minimisation framework, interventions and prevention activities, or the ability to work towards achieving same.
* Knowledge of, and the ability to undertake, comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions with complex AOD issues.
* Knowledge of and ability to develop, monitor and implement quality assurance and improvement activities and/or research.
* Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide therapeutic evidenced based treatment.
* Willingness to learn and share knowledge.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type.
* Multi-disciplinary allowance may be available to access.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Benefits available to eligible candidates:
* Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
* Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Current Working with Children Registration.

* Completed or working towards post graduate qualifications in AOD.
* Current Driver’s Licence.
