About our School Geraldton Grammar School is a friendly, co-educational Anglican school comprising of students from Kindergarten to Year 12, offering high quality education for all students.Set in the picturesque Midwest city of Geraldton, the school is set on nearly 18 hectares and boasts a serene, natural campus with spectacular gardens and ocean views.With more than 700 students, the school is small enough for students to be known as individuals, yet large enough to offer subject choices and opportunities.The School welcomes diversity and is inclusive of all cultures and religions.Geraldton Grammar School takes child protection seriously.All candidates for roles at Geraldton Grammar School are subject to screening and assessment against child safety standards as part of our thorough recruitment process.The Role Geraldton Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Inclusive Education Coordinator.This role is pivotal in shaping the educational experience of our diverse student body, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to thrive within the school environment.As the Inclusive Education Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our school's Inclusive Education policy.Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from identifying students who require additional support to facilitating documented planning for their specific needs.You will collaborate with students, parents, teachers, the Senior Leadership Team (including the Principal), and external professionals to create a supportive and cooperative learning environment.The role is currently a 0.6 FTE with a potential of an additional 0.4 FTE face to face teaching component.It is expected that the successful applicant will attend camps, staff meetings, curriculum evenings, secondary events and parent/teacher interviews.Relocation assistance will be offered to the right candidate.The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate: Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency in maintaining databases, managing documentation, and coordinating with various stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in identifying and assessing students requiring additional support, including the ability to analyse various data sources such as psychologist reports, school records, and standardized test results.Knowledge and understanding of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) including determining levels of adjustment and disability categories.Working knowledge and understanding of SCSA guidelines and Geraldton Grammar School's curriculum for preparing and managing documentation.The ability to implement and manage various intervention strategies, extension programs, and academic competitions to cater for diverse student needs.Commitment to the Schools values of Respect, Responsibility, Inclusivity and Perseverance.Hold and maintain (or be eligible for) a Working with Children Check and TRBWA registration.
