As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing a ward pharmacy service, which includes supporting designated wards with the safe and effective use of medications. You will also be required to participate in routine pharmacy duties such as dispensing medication, ensuring accurate drug distribution, and counselling patients when needed.This role will be either a Grade 1 or 2, depending on your experience.DUTIES:Provision of a ward pharmacy service to designated wards.Attendance at multi-disciplinary team ward meetings.Participation in Physicians’ ward rounds on designated wards.Dispensing of inpatient, outpatient, discharge, Emergency Department and staff prescriptions in accordance with the policies of the department and the hospital.Supervision of unregistered and support staff.Dispensing of clinical trial medications in accordance with the trial protocol and ensuring that all required documentation is completed.ABOUT YOU:Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent.Current registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).Demonstrated experience in a hospital pharmacy with a minimum of 3 years to be considered for a Grade 2 classification.Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.Able to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build and maintain effective working relationships with a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.For further information please contact Rosemary James, Director of Pharmacy on email: rosemary.james@calvarymater.org.auWHY JOIN US?CMN is an Affiliated Health Organisation providing services to both public and private patients primarily from the Hunter New England area.
