About The Role
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing clinical leadership, critical thinking and direct care to patients throughout the patient journey in a custodial setting.
You will manage the delivery of nursing care using well developed skills to manage patients with routine, urgent and chronic disease health conditions; health promotion and education; preventative health and immunisation; emergency response and medication management.

Working with the Health Services team at the Department of Justice, you will provide high quality, patient-centered trauma informed nursing care.
This includes comprehensive nursing assessment, identifying health issues, care planning to implement nursing interventions and evaluation of care provision to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Eligibility
Special conditions -
Demonstrated skills and experience in a senior level clinical nursing practice.Current registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
