Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and experienced cook to work at our restaurant in Bunbury, Watersedge Café and Restaurant. If you are looking for a position in a restaurant, then look no further.
Qualification Required: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Experience: At least 2 years’ experience working within a busy kitchen.
Main Duties:
* Plan menu preparation & ensure adequate supplies are available for expected service
* Follow the instructions given by the chef
* Maintain excellent presentation standards for all food, whilst maintaining recipe standards
* Regulate and monitor temperatures of all the equipment used in the kitchen like grills, fridges, ovens, and freezers
* Prepare and cook food and season the food to ensure high quality
* Ensure correct portioning of the food items during serving
* Assist and train the kitchen hands and apprentices in the kitchen
* Keep all working areas clean, tidy, and ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned to OHS standards
