The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable and friendly L ifeguards and Swim Teachers to join the team on a casual basis. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. As a Swimming Teacher you will teach effective Swimming and Water Safety to help grow our swim program.
You will have a passion for safety around the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time and with a flair for working with children.
Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.
Skills & Attributes
1. Excellent verbal communication skills
2. An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
3. Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
4. Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
5. Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
6. National Police Check
7. Working with Children Check
8. Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
9. Current Swim Teacher Certificate
10. Current Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded
The Site
Victoria Health Club is a new state of the art facility located in St. Kilda, creating a place of results and belonging for anyone that steps in the doors.
The facilities and services include high performance gymnasium, personal training, exercise physiology, hydrotherapy pool, plunge pool, recovery pool, recovery equipment and learn to swim lessons.
