THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently recruiting for the role of Team Leader – Skills Team 2 within TAFE Digital. This is a Head Teacher Band 3 grade role and is a full time, temporary opportunity until 30th June 2024.
As Team Leader of Skills Team 2 you will lead the teaching sections of:
·Electrotechnology & Engineering Services, CII to Diploma
·Building & Construction/Design, including units in Project Management and Finance
·Agribusiness, including units in Project Management and Finance
·Maritime
·Foundation and Languages, including AMEP, ESOL, Literacy and/or Numeracy, HSC Business studies plus other related prevocational fields.
THE ROLE
The role of Team Leader with TAFE Digital is to provide active, innovative leadership across the educational process by guiding and enhancing the professional competence, educational standards, and program delivery to enable students to better achieve their outcomes. There are two Team Leaders within Skills Team 2, this position will share the support of the 8 teaching sections in total.
Team Leader roles in TAFE Digital currently have no direct line reports. Within the role you will be responsible for driving change, improvements and innovation in educational practice, application of technology, and professional development and support.
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, you have a passion for the VET industry. You will have the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders.
Highly motivated with exceptional customer service and critical thinking skills you are experienced in developing leadership, coaching and operation support to delivery teams. You drive continuous improvement and enjoy developing and implementing quality improvement processes. You have demonstrated experience in collaborating with a diverse range of key stakeholders and building relationships and connections with industry and educational providers in the community. You have a strong attention to detail and can manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment to ensure the efficient allocation of work, resourcing, and support.
To succeed in this role you will ideally have the following:
·Professional qualifications, or equivalent, in a relevant industry as per the teaching sections listed above or the ability to demonstrate specific industry knowledge to wholistically support the range of teaching sections.
·Diploma or above in Adult Education and/or TAE40116 or equivalent with a commitment to enrol in Diploma or above in Adult Education within 3 months of role commencement
·Demonstrated qualities in educational leadership
·Ability to meet all the selection criteria as per the position description
