The Fleet Services team provides maintenance and servicing to various plant, equipment, and fleet to ensure they are maintained for the community's services and projects.
We seek people with a great attitude and investment in being part of the Lismore City Council team.
You'll work in a 76 hour per fortnight permanent role based at the Brunswick Street Depot in Lismore.
This position offers opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key responsibilities include:
* Safely undertaking duties to maintain and repair plant items, vehicles, and mechanical equipment.
* Conducting safety checks on all plant used and maintaining records and reports.
* Solving routine problems, referring to standard guidelines and manuals, and collaborating with supervisors and managers to resolve complex issues.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
* Current Construction Industry White card.
* Class C motor vehicle driver's license.
* Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed.
