Graduate teachers are welcome to apply. About the School: Bemin Secondary College has opened across two sites as a dual campus school delivering Senior (10-12) and Junior (7-9) in January 2024. It is a co-educational school that will form part of a wider Truganina North Learning Precinct, which along with the secondary school will include a primary school and kindergarten on the same site. The Junior campus (Everton Road Campus, Truganina) will be able to enrol up to 600 students while the Senior campus (Morris Road Campus, Truganina) will be able to enrol up to 800 students when the first stage of the school is complete. In 2025, Bemin Secondary College will add two further year levels; Year 7-8 at Everton Campus and Year 10-11 at Morris Campus. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive and transparent case management to students of Bemin Secondary College. Facilitate support for students with specific social, emotional and educational needs through school-based interventions and case management. Plan and participate in wellbeing programs for students with specific social, emotional and educational needs. Provide high quality advice and support to the school community. Advise the Leadership team and Principal Class of any critical incidents impacting upon a student's wellbeing in a timely manner. Record and complete accurate case notes within a timely manner. Adhere to all relevant policies as set by Bemin Secondary College. Undertake regular meetings with Leadership and wellbeing team. Attend relevant student support group meetings and take minutes as outlined in the SSG policy. Report any concerns to relevant external services such as Child First or Child Protection within a timely manner. Selection Criteria: Qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Counselling or Mental Health are required. Developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively and network with a wide range of people and services within the education sector and wider community. Demonstrated ability to input into the development, implementation and evaluation of school programs and practices in order to deliver a comprehensive service to students, families and the wider community. Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary and professional team and contribute to the achievements of the team. Developed networking skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people within the education and wider community. Developed counselling skills and experience in counselling adolescents presenting with a range of issues.
