My Australia Direct Employer: Moore Australia (QLD/NNSW) Pty LtdPosition: Senior Accountant (Audit); and Manager (Audit) Employment Type: Full-time Location: Brisbane, QLD Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience Senior Accountant (Audit) - Tasks and Responsibilities As a Senior Accountant within the Firm’s Audit division, you will be required to complete client work across a range of audit and assurance engagements, and compliance and advisory services in compliance with the Firm’s Quality Control Manual and Independence Policy & Guidance Manual. In this role you will: provide internal and external stakeholders with exceptional client service preparation and completion of relative statutory accounts and substantive audit testing as well as the construction of logical and accurate work papers. ensure all work prepared by you is accurate and delivered in a timely manner so as to achieve budgeted targets supervise 1 or 2 accounting staff on assignment teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of work within budget undertake audit assignments as engaged by client or as directed by Supervisor / Manager / Principal / Partner/s e.g. preparing audit working papers, statutory financial reports, cash flow statement calculations, and management letters liaise with business services, to support provision of specialist tax/business services (taxation services, financial reports, other services eg BSA return) client portfolio undertake special assignments as engaged by client or as directed by Supervisor / Manager / Principal / Partner/s e.g. due diligences, budget forecast reviews, internal audit assignments, fraud review Work within the legal and operating confines of your skills and knowledge, seeking advice from Supervisor / Manager / Principal / Partner/s on issues outside of them build strong relationships with your clients and in addition provide leadership, guidance and assistance to junior team members Manager (Audit) - Tasks and Responsibilities As a Manager within the Firm’s Audit division, you are the link between your team, clients and stakeholders. As a member of the broader leadership group, you will work closely with your Partner/s and Business Advisory team to provide clients with key technical advice and guidance across a range of accounting, compliance and advisory services in compliance with the Firm’s Quality Control Manual and Independence Policy & Guidance Manual. In this role you will: provide your internal and external stakeholders with exceptional service, by developing an in-depth understanding of each client’s circumstances and ensuring the smooth running of your team. proactively address clients' accounting, auditing and business needs. management of your team, its clients and stakeholders. service existing and new clients through assurance/audit engagements conduct first review of audits/assurance assignments and financial statement preparation undertake special assignments as engaged by client or directed by Principal / Partner/s e.g. due diligences, business valuations, business restructures, refinances, sale/purchases understanding client needs and delivering a high quality service and technical support to Principal / Partner and create and deliver appropriate advice to clients responsible for analysis of financial information and interpreting relevant legislation for clients work within the legal and operating confines of your skills and knowledge, seeking advice from Principal / Partner/s on issues outside of them Qualifications: At least a Bachelor degree in commerce, business accounting, or relevant field Completed CA/CPA program or equivalent (or close to completion) Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: For Senior Accountant (Audit) position, at least 3 years experience in professional services with an emphasis on Accounting, Auditing and Assurance For Manager (Audit) position, at least 7 years' experience in professional services with an emphasis on Accounting, Auditing and Assurance Exposure to larger client groups and sophisticated business structures with multiple entities and technical complexity Strong knowledge of Auditing Standards (AUASB) Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards (AASB & IFRS) Extensive exposure to, and knowledge of, current audit, accounting, tax issues, including applicable or emerging laws and regulations Strong exposure to accounting software including but not limited to Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Reckon, and CaseWare About Company We are a leading accounting and business advisory organisation that is capable of providing solutions to our Clients, our Team, Shareholders and the Community to shape their success in a changing world.
