Summary:We are seeking a full-time/part-time Dental Hygienist to join our healthcare and medical team at our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing oral health care services, assisting dentists in providing treatment to patients, and maintaining patient records.Responsibilities:
Conduct preliminary oral health assessments and medical histories on patients
Perform teeth cleaning, scaling and root planing, and other preventive measures
Administer fluoride treatments and other medication as necessary
Take X-rays and develop dental radiographs for the dentist to review
Provide patient education on oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and other preventive measures
Maintain dental equipment and instruments, performing routine inspections and cleaning procedures
Ensure patients are comfortable and relaxed throughout their treatments, answering their questions and concerns
Assist the dentist during procedures, handing them instruments and providing suction, irrigation, or other necessary services
Document patient information, medical histories, treatment plans, and other dental records accurately and efficiently
Provide referrals to other dental specialists, medical professionals, or community resources as necessary
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program
Active dental hygiene license in good standing with the state board
CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Proficient in computer charting software and dental office management software
Knowledge of dental hygiene techniques, preventative measures, and oral health care products
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy towards patients
Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
