You’re someone who wants to create outcomes that have a real impact on the people of NSW.Here's your chance to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that also enhance accessibility, sustainability and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined.In this role, you'll:Join the Bus Service Improvement Program (BSIP) as a Senior Transport Planner.Working from the developments of the Bus Industry Taskforce Medium Term Bus Plan, you will work within a defined programme and set schedule aiding in the identification of bus service requirements across regional and outer metropolitan NSW.You will provide evidence-based analytical support services, technical knowledge, and advice on issues relating to integrated transport as it relates to the Bus Service Improvement Program.You will ensure that the program and projects are informed by and can influence and integrate with other government initiatives.You will assist with the development of business cases via detailed analysis, working through solutions for operational optimization within the confines of funding.Working across a vast landscape, you will engage with various key stakeholders and SMEs to create the best outcomes for the people of NSW.Working within this short to medium-term planning role, you will assist with the shaping of future public transport service across regional and outer metropolitan areas.This is a fixed-term opportunity until 19/3/2027.About you:Highly experienced public transport planner ideally with public transport planning experience; an understanding of the nuances of regional public transport planning would be desirable.Drawing from your strong analytical background, you will analyse and interpret data and translate this into effective and efficient bus service concepts and improvement initiatives.With exceptional attention to detail, you will strive to work to tight deadlines and take pride in delivering brilliant business outcomes.You will have well-developed problem-solving skills, along with sound oral and written communication.You’ll be confident in negotiations with the ability to engage with various stakeholders with different objectives to obtain the best outcomes for your project.Our team is based in Sydney; however, as we support regional areas, we would consider regional applicants for this role.Who we are:Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
