The Role As our Food & Beverage Manager, you'll be the guiding light in setting the tone for exceptional guest experience, developing your team into remarkable food & beverage professionals, work in collaboration with department heads to influence food & beverage menu selection of the restaurant – but most importantly, transport all diners to an oasis where they can unwind and relax into their time on Rottnest Island. Lontara welcomes guests across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. This role would suit an experienced Restaurant/Venue Manager, looking to progress in their career and manage the operational & commercial success of Lontara, Bayside Bar, Poolside Bar and the Samphire Club. To be successful in this role, you will possess outstanding F&B knowledge, be well versed in multi venue operations, have the adaptability to manage and guide all levels of hospitality professionals – developing their skillsets and leadership within the hospitality & tourism industry. Key Responsibilities Leveraging your industry expertise to ensure smooth day-to-day service delivery Demonstrating a strong knowledge of food service procedures and current hospitality trends. Providing expert guidance on food and beverage operations, including hotel management principles at a managerial level. Managing the financial side of the department, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Collaborating with department managers to maximize success for the entire property. Driving a motivated team environment through effective recruitment, training, and staff development practices. Shape positive and collaborative team culture. Consistently drive high customer satisfaction rates. About You Minimum of 3 years Venue/Restaurant Management experience Exceptional knowledge of food & beverage selections. Charismatic, warm, and welcoming Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations. Experienced in people management and guest relationships. Passionate hands on leader – thriving on floor energy. Ability to work well under pressure – remaining calm & collected. High ability to work well in a team environment and autonomously.
