We are an independent, registered charity providing front line support to young people and people experiencing homelessness to open pathways out of poverty and homelessness - breaking the cycle of disadvantage. Our focus is on respect, client-centred care, and harm prevention so people can lead longer lives, have improved health, meaningful employment, and a greater sense of belonging, safety, and security through our holistic model of care.

* Over 8,000 people accessed our services
* Welcomed 16,431 visits to The Living Room
* 80% of the young people we supported landed sustainable employment or education outcomes
* More than 150,000 coffees were sold through our social enterprise cafes with $73K profit re-directed into homelessness and youth services
* Experienced 130,000+ contacts through our harm minimisation program
* Awarded ‘Great Place to Work’ 2022 and 2023

A bit about the role
This dynamic role at our Melton Youth Hub combines a variety of responsibilities to ensure smooth daily operations, exceptional client experiences, and vibrant community engagement. You’ll warmly greet visitors and clients, direct incoming calls, and assist with mail distribution while managing stationery and supplies to keep the hub running smoothly. As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll also support team leaders with admin tasks like printing and laminating, and help visitors sign in efficiently.
In addition to curating awesome playlists for our drop-in centre, you’ll play a key role in client engagement by assisting with events, workshops, and activities that foster connection and growth. Whether helping to set up for an event, coordinating logistics, or supporting clients in participating, you'll be a part of creating a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll contribute in team meetings, take minutes to support the Site Lead, and master the coffee machine to keep the team and visitors energised
