As an EL1 Assistant Director, you will lead innovative projects to streamline and enhance conservation planning under the EPBC Act.
Your work will directly contribute to protecting threatened species, ecological communities, and key natural habitats.
Your Responsibilities Develop and review briefing templates, guidance materials, and external engagement processes to ensure compliance with EPBC Act requirements.
Lead the development and implementation of best-practice conservation planning processes.
Create innovative solutions for effective planning, reporting, and communication, leveraging data analytics and visualisation tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, refine, and implement contemporary conservation planning practices.
Review and enhance briefing documents and committee papers to align with legislative and policy priorities.
Engage with Directors, legal teams, and stakeholders to drive improvements in conservation planning outcomes.
What We're Looking For Skills and Capabilities Strong knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, EPBC Act requirements related to conservation planning.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills.
Proven ability to navigate complex business processes and adapt to shifting priorities.
Highly developed analytical, written, and presentation skills, with experience in data analytics and visualisation.
