Job Description
Field-based Ecology Survey Work
This role involves field-based ecology survey work, including vegetation mapping, ecological monitoring, targeted threatened flora and fauna survey and Vegetation Quality Assessments using the DEECA Habitat Hectares method.
Leading Projects
You'll lead projects across a wide range of ecological disciplines and clients with the opportunity to mentor junior team members.
Ecological Impact Assessment and Offsetting
You'll conduct ecological impact assessment and offsetting for a range of projects and scale.
Supporting Internal Clients
You'll support internal clients with delivering the ecological requirements within multi-disciplinary tenders and projects.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field
* Working knowledge of Victorian and Commonwealth environmental legislation (e.g., EPBC Act, FFG Act, Planning and Environment Act)
* Proficiency in vegetation surveys across various Victorian environments
* Habitat assessments (VQA accreditation desirable)
* GIS tools such as ESRI FieldMaps
