As a Centre lead, you will play an integral role in driving our four pillars within the TBTC channel and beyond. Your success in this role is built on providing exceptional project leadership and guidance to high-performing teams and developing and maintaining exceptional relationships with the TBTC channel, Telstra, our vendors and most importantly our customers.
Salary:$100,000 - $150,000 per year
Job Description:
Strategic & Market Leadership
Lead the development and execution of the annual business plan for TBTC to exceed the customer and financial targets. Manage the growth, sales, expenses, inventory and results and report on TBTC performance within the TBTC Leadership Team operating rhythm. Manage profitability and contribution of the region and proactively identify and address any gaps.
Drive Market Leadership within the TBTC geo zone to increase local community engagement, media and marketing and other specific campaigns. Work closely with indigenous community and rural business customers and develop long term strategic relationship that fit their specific needs. Work closely with the Telstra Regional Australian Team to ensure Telstra is embedded in local communities and support brand engagement activities.
Support national marketing campaigns at a local level and leverage market knowledge to ensure elements such as centre design and visual merchandising maximise performance and provide consistent experiences for our business customers. Identify and advise Telstra Channel Team SLT on market trends, competitor activities and recommend appropriate action to ensure the business is best equipped to succeed and grow.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with our strategic vendor partners.
Sales & Operational
Work with the TBTC Senior Operations Lead to monitor and analyse compliance against Telstra operating standards and processes, conduct regular audits, stock takes and manage risk and performance to drive consistency and improve operational excellence. Work with the TBTC Senior Sales Lead to drive effective implementation of agreed sales model and ensure engagement and participation in TBTC Channel change/launch activities.
Lead and resolve complex conduct-related investigations. Act as a point of escalation for complex customer issues or CEO-referred customer complaints. Research, analyze and apply competitor insights to ensure our processes, frameworks, governance, and controls remain best practice.
Ensure regular check ins to ensure all team members are Doing Good Business Responsibly.
People Leadership
Create a safe and engaging environment where the team are motivated and empowered to thrive. Role model the Telstra code of conduct and flexible workplace practices. Facilitate and participate in weekly team meetings to communicate key information and to seek feedback.
Lead, coach and mentor the Senior Sales & Operations Leads and provide insights and advice on ways to empower their teams. Promote staff development through training and ongoing career development. Provide direction to the team and help them set SMART performance goals and development plans that enable them to achieve sales & customer experience targets.
Conduct regular fortnightly one to one performance conversations and team skip meetings as required. Ensure consistent talent management and succession planning to drive sustained performance. Lead a high performing team and embrace agile principles in line with Telstra's T25 strategy and long-term commitments.

About You
Broad sales experience. Extensive leadership skills. Solid experience driving sales and service outcome. Building a culture of delivery and sales on service targets. Strong experience in coaching, leading and developing people.
