The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Officer within the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) stream to join our team.
In this role, you will provide expertise in support of WesCEF's procurement governance and modern slavery framework including source to contract and procure to pay processes, environment, social, and governance obligations including ethical sourcing, modern slavery and indigenous procurement.
Reporting to the Procurement Governance, Ethical Sourcing & Modern Slavery Manager, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that sound commercial and business outcomes are delivered whilst managing risk in accordance with WesCEF's values, compliance, procedural and statutory requirements.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Actively support in the development, improvement, education and enforcement of procurement governance requirements ensuring always that WesCEF's values, compliance, procedural and statutory requirements are met.Support compliance activities to ensure that procurement governance framework and obligations comply at all times with WesCEF's values, internal/external standards/licenses/regulations/laws, ethical and operational requirements.Promote and where necessary educate customers on WesCEF's corporate governance framework and obligations.Oversee the sourcing process for select mid-range risk and spend contracts/sourcing events.Lead sourcing processes and contractor management activities including RFXs, negotiations, risk apportionment, contract drafting, advice and related post-award contractor management activities.Support Procurement team strategies with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.About You The successful incumbent will possess:
