DSI Underground also provides galvanising and other related services to the mining, civil, marine, commercial, and industrial industries.About the PositionBased at our Newcastle site and reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader – Electrical, the Maintenance Electrician is responsible for undertaking planned and reactive maintenance activities; prioritising breakdowns to ensure machine uptime is maximised. The position is also responsible for programming and fault finding for PLC’s and other industrial electronic control equipment.Ensure breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance activities to all equipment on site are undertaken as per schedules provided;Take direction from Maintenance Team Leader - Electrical, responding to requests from Production team as required, including breakdowns and machine fault finding;Conduct machine inspections and preventative maintenance activities, ensuring required actions are recorded in the MEX System and reporting back any faults identified;Identify spare parts required and alert Maintenance Team Leader - Electrical when parts are not available;Contribute to shift reports as required, escalating issues requiring Engineering or Management assistance;Identify improvement opportunities and implement in line with machine availability, demonstrating continuously improving machine OEE;Execute rework activities as directed by Maintenance Team Leader – Electrical and communicate with Team Leaders on rework activities for their area;Ensure compliance with all relevant Works Instructions, addressing any shortcomings and seeking additional coaching and/or training;Undertake investigations into quality incidents (NCR) which occur in area, effectively problem solving and identifying root cause and actions to eliminate reoccurrence;Complete Job Safety Observations as directed by Maintenance Team Leader - Electrical;Improve WHS performance for designated area by actively identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions and improvements.About YouTo be successful in the role you will hold a Qualified Supervisor Certificate (Class A Electrical Licence) and relevant trade qualification.You will also possess all the following attributes:Physically fit for manual tasks;Clear oral and written communicator;Ability to work unsupervised to achieve targets and follow procedures.The following attributes will be highly regarded:First Aid Certificate;Root Cause Analysis Training.What We Offer YouFitness Passport for you and your immediate family;Professional Development opportunities and support with CPD;Discounted private health insurance and other benefits with leading providers;Access to our exclusive Recognition, Benefits & Good Vibes Program “Spirit Circle”;Christmas Gift;Monthly People & Community events e.g. Jeans for Genes Day, One Foot Forward, etc.;Employer-funded Employee Assistance Program (EAP) access for you and your immediate family;Opportunity to develop within an expanding and ethical global organisation as we integrate into our Sandvik family;PLUS more!Sandvik Ground Support is proud to be an EEO employer.
