Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain architectural blueprints for IT systems, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry standards.
* Design human useable solutions for applications, databases, and integrations that meet functionality, reliability, scalability, and security needs.
* Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
* Mentor and support other members of the Enterprise Technology, Data and Governance teams and technical services staff.
* Work closely with stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions.
* Oversee the implementation of architectural solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Finalise the creation of our comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, technical specifications, and system configurations.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and/or extensive experience in a similar role.
* Highly desirable: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar.
* Working with Children’s registrations in NSW and ACT (WWCC and WWVP).
* Driver's License.
Selection Criteria
1. Extensive experience in solution architecture, with a strong understanding of various technologies and platforms.
2. Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of architects and technical staff.
3. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business units and build effective solutions.
4. Experience evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance IT capabilities.
5. In-depth understanding of risk management practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
6. Proven ability to consult with the Service Delivery team to ensure operational requirements are considered in architectural designs.
