RM Engineering Solutions is a team of motivated engineering professionals delivering practical electrical, control, automation, instrumentation, and telemetry design solutions. Our team has a strong presence in the water industry, working with a range of clients including large-scale water utilities, local councils, tier 1 contractors, international design houses, and equipment OEMs.
RM strives to add value to the projects we undertake and, due to organic growth, we are seeking a mid-level Engineer to join our Newcastle-based team.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting in all phases of projects including planning, design, development, implementation, and commissioning
* Developing quality designs and solutions with a client-focused attitude
* Delivering projects on-time and in line with budget and cost expectations
* Assisting with quoting and tendering for upcoming works
* Approaching all facets of the role with a safety focus
Desirable skills and experience:
* Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar
* Water industry experience
* Proficiency in control and PLC / SCADA system design and programming (Schneider PLCs / RTUs and ClearSCADA highly regarded)
* Low voltage distribution and power systems design
* Low voltage protection and arc flash modeling (experience in PowerCAD regarded)
* Motor control center, motor starter, and instrumentation design
* Plant and telemetry communication system design and programming
* Electrical drafting using AutoCAD software
* Project engineering and project management experience
* Ability to work autonomously
* Experience with onsite commissioning
