In this pivotal role, you will manage the installation of new robotic-assisted surgical systems and digital surgery solutions across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), while supporting the broader clinical specialist team.Your responsibilities will include coordinating and supporting new system installations, managing inventory, engaging with surgeons, training theatre teams, and planning and supporting first procedures. Additionally, you will assist the Robotics team in transitioning new installations to permanent hires, oversee the daily operations of our primary training center, and support marketing, medical affairs, and business development activities.At Medtronic, we are committed to providing patients worldwide with access to quality care and improved outcomes. Our Surgical Robotics portfolio aims to expand global access to care and reduce surgical variability through innovative robotic and analytics solutions.Reporting to the Robotics Start Up Manager for ANZ region, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the installation of the Hugo RAS system and the broader Robotics team.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Lead Installations: Oversee new robotic & digital system installations across ANZ until a permanent hire is secured.Working closely with Medtronic Field Service Engineers and hospital staff to prepare the operating room for the Medtronic robot.Working with RCS Manager to develop an inventory plan for robotic procedures.Training hospital staff to clean and sterilise reusable robotic instruments.Working with RCS manager to develop, coordinate, and execute surgeon and OR team training plans.Working with internal stakeholders to arrange proctors for initial cases.Supporting technology adoption by attending non-Hugo RAS system cases with target surgeons.Collaborate with the manager and field sales coach to transition new hires to operate independently.Customer Training: Conduct training for newly installed systems and provide ongoing training at existing sites.Support Established Installations: Act as a secondary Robotic Clinical Specialist to assist established installation, as required.Temporary Coverage: Provide short-term cover for Robotic Clinical Specialists who are on leave.Training Centre Management: Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the International Medical Robotic Academy (IMRA) training centre and partnership.Schedule and support IMRA training courses.Manage training centre inventory and Hugo RASTM logistics.Event Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to organise inventory and system logistics for conferences, marketing events, and roadshows.Business Development: Assist with Business Development Executive (BDE) activities where necessary.Data management and reportingRequired Knowledge and Experience:Bachelor’s degree.Demonstrable experience in clinical setting or capital equipment sales.Operating Room knowledge or experience.Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation, strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery.Experience in change management.Willingness to travel depending on project needs; occasional weekend work as needed.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits PackageA commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
