About the facility
The Acute Hospital Physiotherapy Department provides services to a wide range of clinical areas. The Physiotherapy service is predominantly inpatient focused with some outpatient services provided in orthopaedics, paediatrics and women's health. Our dynamic team provide inpatient physiotherapy to all wards of University Hospital Geelong. Specialties include surgical, medical, orthopaedics, neurology, paediatrics, ICU and the Emergency Department.
About the role
Barwon Health’s Physiotherapy department is looking for a number of organised, dynamic and flexible team players with clinical knowledge, skills and experience principally to work in the Cardiorespiratory clinical area to join our weekend roster. However, we are also keen to hear from those with Ortho or Neuro expertise, and those who can be available to work mid-week at times.
Grade 1 Physiotherapists work in a wide variety of rotations across the acute, subacute and community settings. Rotations are for four months and provide the clinician with the opportunity to improve their experience and skills in a broad range of clinical areas.
As a Grade 2 Physiotherapist you would provide physiotherapy service delivery across a range of clinical areas, applying evidence-based, informed, patient centred care within a multi-disciplinary setting. Rotational Grade 1 Physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants and undergraduate students would require your leadership, teaching and supervisory expertise when you work with them. Your professional supervision and development will be valued and you will be supported to achieve your goals.
