Senior Regulatory Advisor, reporting directly to the General Manager Regulation Pricing and Products.A bit about your role The nbn Regulatory team's overall goal is to shape nbn's regulatory environment to help the company deliver on its objectives.In support of achieving this goal, we pursue regulatory outcomes that enable nbn to fulfil its mandate as a GBE, including by pursuing regulatory certainty while also preserving appropriate commercial and operational flexibility for the company.Reporting to the General Manager Regulatory Pricing and Products, the role of Senior Regulatory Advisor partners with business colleagues to build understanding of nbn's regulatory environment and provide advice and solutions on how to operate within its requirements.In particular, this role will be focussed on pricing related work, including oversight of nbn's compliance with regulatory price controls, preparation of submissions and engagement with the ACCC.The role will also influence the long-term regulatory framework impacting nbn as well as identifying opportunities to reform regulatory framework and policy settings and pursuing favourable regulatory change.Guiding the business to navigate the regulatory environment, providing proactive and practical solutions and advice whilst maintaining regulatory compliance is a key part of the role.A bit about you If this sounds like the role for you then it is likely you will be qualified in economics, finance, or commerce, understand the telecommunications industry or other infrastructure sectors, and the regulatory environment that applies to utilities.The ideal candidate will bring significant regulatory experience and be well versed in regulatory economic standards, with experience in their application to pricing regulation.You will have strong analytical and numeracy skills (including experience with Microsoft Excel) with the ability to advise on complex regulatory pricing issues.You will be adept at gathering relevant inputs to enable provision of regulatory advice, drawing on business insight and regulatory expertise to help solve business problems.As a strong communicator with internal and external stakeholders at many levels, you convey information clearly and effectively to achieve an intended impact.You will also have excellent written communication skills including the ability to translate complex issues into compelling advocacy submissions.Your curious, adaptable nature combined with the capability to thrive in an atmosphere of change will see you succeed in this role.Life at
