In this role, you will be responsible for managing the continued development of the credit risk management system and use it to analyse the credit portfolio. You will identify the key credit risk exposures within the credit portfolio and ongoing analysis of the underlying drivers of adverse trends.In the role you will Align framework, policy and processes used to manage credit risk and comply with legislative requirements relevant to this position with industry best practice.Identify and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Group in relation to credit risk management.Identify and implement strategies to improve the predictive identification of emerging credit risk matters through enhanced reporting and with the objective of reducing the likelihood/impact of credit risk events.Perform reviews relating to key credit risk matters to identify deficiencies in the control environment and recommend actions to enhance internal controls.Provide advice and assistance to the Senior Manager – Group Risk on risk matters and related policy development to deliver a best practice approach to credit risk management.Preparation of reports, submissions and presentations relating to credit risk and risk appetite for the Board and Board Risk Committee in line with the committee annual workplans.Assist Group staff to increase their knowledge and awareness in credit risk management through education and leadership. Additionally, provide consultation support to projects and business stakeholders in relation to credit risk matters to assist with business decision making.QualificationsAbout you A strong understanding of APRA's prudential standards and guidance APS112, APS 220, CPS 220 & APG 223 (Essential).5+ years experience in credit risk management, preferably in the area of loan portfolio management, credit stress modelling and credit risk management frameworks (Essential).A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a relevant business or risk related discipline e.g. Economics, Commerce (Desirable).Thorough understanding of credit risk management and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.Understanding of credit risk models and the statistical techniques used to develop them.Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.See yourself in our team You will be joining the Risk Team, a group of dedicated professionals who play a crucial role in ensuring Beyond Bank Australia is adopting sound credit risk management practices to safeguard the financial stability of the bank.
